Slow slow loading time, shared environment over capacity

I host 3 sites on IXWebhosting.com, their shared server is full and this results in very very slow loading times.
Tech support is very nice but can do nothing to solve the poor loading time, one excuse after another for over a year...at the end, I just gave up hope.

For the past several months it has been one problem after another. The latest problem was a server crash that they have been working on for 3 days and it is still not fixed. Now I've been told that they have no backup of the web sites hosted there (6 in total).
I can ftp the sites back to the server but the data is gone. Two businesses were web based with databases on the host server and all that data is gone. Three days worth of business for two different businesses down the tubes.
It looks cheap, but DO NOT use this host if you want to host important or critical information.

I've been with IX since Sep 2008 (close to a year). For the most part, the service has been very good. I love their control panel. Tech support has been awesome. My only real complaint is that bandwidth is unpredictable. I host about 7 domains for my clients under 1 account, and for the last couple of months, I've been having problems getting the sites to come up as fast as they usually do. On some days, the sites barely come up (very slow). This is becoming more frequent unfortunately. They were just hit by a DDOS (http://status.ixwebhosting.com) which explains the problem for recent slow performance, but I've been having issues for about 2 months now with them. I think if you are planning on running one or two personal domains, it should not be a problem. I'm going to purchase services from a backup hosting company just in case I need to test bandwidth issues.
